온갓

국가무형유산이 전승되어야 하는 이유는 한국의 정체성을 유지하는 것뿐만 아니라 창조적 영감을 제공하는 데 있습니다. '온갓'은 전통공예 '갓일'을 중심으로 국가무형유산에 대한 인식을 높이고 한국을 찾는 외국인 관광객들에게 한국만의 것을 알리려는 목적에서 출발한 프로젝트입니다. 갓일의 세 과정에서 나타나는 수직·수평, 직선·곡선 등 조형 요소를 바탕으로 각 공정이 모여 하나의 갓이 되는 과정을 시각 언어로 보여줌으로써 관람객은 갓일을 좀 더 가까이 경험하게 되고 전통은 현재와 미래의 영감으로 이어지게 됩니다.

Transmitting National Intangible Heritage preserves Korean identity and inspires creativity. Centered on the traditional craft of 'Gat-il', the 'On Gat' project aims to raise awareness of this heritage and share Korea's unique culture with foreign tourists. By using visual language to illustrate how vertical/horizontal and straight/curved elements assemble into a complete Gat, the project allows visitors to experience Gat-il closely, bridging tradition into present and future inspiration.
