Self-Luminance is a video artwork exploring how social media comparison and the pursuit of idealized lives can lead us to lose our sense of self. Driven by endless desire, the protagonist runs toward an elusive idea of happiness, only to confront the light within. Through the contrast of cold blue and warm orange, the work visualizes the tension between external validation and inner identity, inviting viewers to look beyond the illusions shaped by others’ gazes and question their own worth.
