‘사랑’은 인간이 고립감을 극복하고 타인과 연결되는 방식이며, ‘애정’은 사람이나 존재를 향한 따뜻한 마음을 의미합니다. 하지만 현대 사회에서도 사랑과 애정은 본래의 의미대로 작용하고 있을까요? 본 프로젝트는 인간관계 속 사랑과 애정이라는 이름으로 이루어지는 통제, 소유, 감시, 존중의 결여를 살펴봅니다. 관계 속 말과 행동을 수집해 프로토콜에 따라 분석하고, 가면의 언어를 모듈 그래픽으로 변환해 그 이면의 실체를 도출합니다. 이를 통해 관계 속에 숨겨진 모습을 인식하고 사랑과 애정의 의미를 다시 바라보고자 합니다.

Love helps humans overcome isolation and connect with others, and affection expresses warmth toward people and other beings. Yet, do love and affection retain their original meaning in modern society? This project explores control, possession, and disrespect disguised as love and affection. It collects texts and actions from human relationships and analyzes them using established protocols. The data is transformed into modular graphics to reveal the reality hidden beneath outward expressions of love and affection. The project reveals this hidden duality within relationships and invites us to reconsider the meaning of love and affection.
