옷은 소재와 상태에 따라 세탁법과 취급법이 다르지만, 우리는 옷이 잘못되었다고 말하지 않습니다. 필요한 것은 각 옷에 맞는 세심한 관리입니다. 휴먼세탁소는 이 관점에서 출발해서 겉으로 드러나지 않는 정신장애 역시 ‘고쳐야 할 결함’이 아니라 서로 다른 이해와 돌봄의 방식이 필요한 상태로 바라봅니다. 정신질환에 대한 오해와 편견, 무심한 말과 잘못된 대처를 씻어내고, 각자의 마음에 맞는 히든 라벨을 통해 어떻게 이해하고 대해야 하는지 제안합니다. 관람객은 검사와 라벨, 옷과 픽토그램을 통해 서로 다른 마음의 취급법을 마주하게 됩니다.

Washing and handling methods vary depending on the material and condition of clothes, but we do not say that clothes are bad. What’s needed is careful care tailored to each garment. Starting from this perspective, Human Laundry views hidden mental disabilities not as “flaws to be fixed,” but as conditions that require different ways of understanding and care. Misunderstandings and prejudices about mental illness, careless remarks, and incorrect responses.
