어느새 우리는 개인이 되었다

집단 중심의 삶에서 주체적인 개인의 삶으로 변화해 온 한국 사회의 문화적 이행을 다룬 도록 전시 프로젝트입니다. 과거 식당의 지갑 실랑이나 전원 삭발처럼 집단의 연대와 규율이 우선하던 풍경을 뷰파인더 속 흑백 기록으로 남깁니다. 동시에 각자 나눠 내는 분할 영수증과 일인용 식탁처럼 타인을 배려하면서도 나만의 사적 여백과 고유한 취향을 확보해 가는 현대 개인의 삶을 대비합니다. 지나온 공동체의 시간을 유의미한 바탕 삼아, 더 넓어진 선택 속에서 성숙한 개인주의로 이어나가는 우리의 일상을 조명합니다.

This editorial exhibition explores Korea's cultural shift from collective living to individual autonomy. Through black-and-white imagery, it captures past traditions shaped by unity and social norms, contrasting them with modern lifestyles that value personal space and individual choice. From shared meals to split bills and solo dining, the project reflects on how everyday life has evolved. By revisiting the meaning of community, it highlights the emergence of a more mature individualism, where personal freedom and consideration for others coexist.
