소리결은 자음과 모음의 교체만으로 다른 어감을 만드는 한국어 의성어·의태어의 계열어 구조에 주목한 프로젝트입니다. 사라져가는 56개 계열어 시리즈를 선정하여, 음운 하나의 차이가 만드는 어감의 결을 시각적 형태로 기록합니다. 자음의 세기는 그리드 밀도, 모음의 강도와 높낮이는 굵기와 위치, 의미는 도형 형태로 전환하는 모듈형 타입페이스를 통해 어감의 차이를 직관적으로 보여줍니다.

Sorigyeol is a project focused on the series structure of Korean Onomatopoeia and Mimetics, where subtle shifts in consonants and vowels create distinct nuances. Selecting 56 fading series of words, it records the sensory nuances formed by single phoneme differences into visual forms. Through a modular typeface, consonant intensity translates to grid density, vowel strength and pitch into thickness and position, and semantic branches into geometric shapes, allowing users to intuitively perceive the delicate layers of sound.
